The Onboarding management tool is designed to show admins who from their organization has onboarded to Cortex and who hasn’t.
When you first open Onboarding management, you’ll see a list of teams and the number of people who have onboarded from each team. The tool also includes a progress bar so you can see the overall percentage of users that have been onboarded.
Users will have one of four different statuses on this page:
- New user: Has not onboarded
- Not connected: Does not have Slack mapped
- Notified: Has been sent a Slack message for onboarding
- Onboarded: Has onboarded
You can message team members who haven’t onboarded directly from this page, as long as Slack is mapped to their account. Select Message user next to a user’s status to send a message.
If a user’s name is available in Cortex, it will appear under Message details; in this case, we have a generated tag instead of the user’s name.
You can Include a custom message in the notification. Anything you enter in this field will be included after the first template line.
As long as Slack is mapped for a user, you can use this message function. However, if Slack is not mapped, you cannot use this function, even if they have onboarded.
If a user is Not connected, you can map a Slack account to them through Settings. The easiest way to access this is by selecting “Settings page” in the description on the Onboarding management homepage.
Admins can also access this function under Slack in the Identity mappings section of Settings. From this page, you can select a mapping from the dropdown menu for each user.
You can also see the list of Mapped users and edit mappings.
