Services may appear in a user’s Mine view even if the user is not a direct owner of those services. This is expected behavior based on team hierarchy and inherited ownership.
What You’ll See
A user sees services in the Mine tab of the Services catalog
The user is not listed as a direct owner on those services
The services are owned by teams lower in the team hierarchy
Why This Happens
The Mine view includes:
Services owned by teams the user directly belongs to
Services owned by child teams of any parent team the user belongs to
If a user is part of a parent team, Cortex assumes responsibility may flow downward to child teams.
Example
User belongs to the team:
Engineering – CoreThat team has a child team:
Engineering - Apex TeamEngineering - Apex Team is listed as the owner of several services
Even though the user is not a member of Engineering - Apex Team, the services owned by Engineering - Apex Team will appear in the user’s Mine view because Engineering - Apex Team is a child team of a team the user belongs to.
