Cortex uses OpenID Connect (OIDC), which will work with any OIDC provider, even if your auth provider isn't specifically mentioned in our docs.
To see instructions on using other providers, read the green Tip section under Basic Setup in our SSO guides.
If you encounter authentication issues with your OIDC provider:
- Double-check all configuration fields, including identifiers, secrets, and URIs
- Verify that your OIDC provider client secret is current and not expired
- Ensure your authentication tokens are valid
- Check that your user account is assigned to the correct access group in your identity provider
- Confirm both public and private certificates are properly configured (both are required for the authentication process)
Cortex supports standard OIDC features like 'Redirect to app to initiate login', allowing you to configure provider tiles for authentication. You can also use OIDC to control which users are allowed to access your Cortex instance.
