Due to the frequency of our releases and rapid changes to our product, we only offer dedicated support for releases up to two months prior to the current release version. For versions older than this we will provide best-efforts support. If you are currently using a release older than two months, we highly recommend updating to the latest release. If you encounter an issue while using a version of Cortex older than two months, you may be asked to upgrade as part of our ongoing support efforts.
When upgrading between versions, we recommend following these best practices:
Avoid jumping over several versions at once to minimize compatibility issues
Consider incremental upgrades, particularly for versions more than a month apart
Use version releases aligned with the first of each month as a safer upgrade path
Create backups of your existing workflows before performing any upgrade
Verify JWT tokens and license configurations are compatible with the new version
Restart pods after upgrade to ensure new configurations are applied
Important JWT Token Information: Without a valid JWT token, you risk being locked out of your Cortex self-hosted environment. If you experience token-related issues or need licensing information, contact the Cortex support team immediately to ensure continued access to the application.
If you encounter issues during or after an upgrade, such as version numbers not displaying in the UI or service access problems, please refer to our debugging documentation or contact technical support with specific error details.
