In Cortex reports, you may occasionally encounter an 'N/E' status, which stands for 'Not Evaluated'. This status typically appears when a new rule has been added to a Scorecard or when an evaluation is still in progress. It indicates that the specific rule or evaluation has not yet been fully processed or completed.
N/E status can occur in several scenarios:
When a new rule is added to the Scorecard
During the initial evaluation of a recently modified rule
When the evaluation is taking some time to complete
It's important to note that if a rule is unchanged from a previous evaluation, it should not show N/E status.
When rules are modified, the system needs time to re-evaluate entities against the new rules. This evaluation happens incrementally, and reports rely on cached data, which takes some time to refresh. Typically, this process can take up to 15 minutes, during which some entities may appear as N/E until the full evaluation is complete.
A full evaluation does not immediately reset all entity scores to N/E. Instead, it systematically re-evaluates entities against the current rules. During this process, some entities may temporarily show N/E in reports as they are being processed.
